St. Gregory's Primary School in Stockton has passed a significant milestone on its path to a more sustainable future with the achievement of an Eco Schools Bronze Award.

tadea helps to reduce weather related illness using the award winning hotspots scheme.

Since 2008 every public building or any building used by members of the public must show a Display Energy Certificate and report if they have a useful floor area of at least 1000m2. With effect from January 2012 this floor area reduces to 500m2. Fines for non-compliance can be as high as £1500 for each building without a Certificate so it is essential that those with responsibility for these buildings comply with the legislation.

The introduction of the Boiler Scrappage Scheme presented tadea with a unique opportunity to demonstrate how their services can add value.

Gateshead Council, in common with others around the country, has challenging targets to reduce carbon-emissions. They are enthusiastic proponents of any activity that helps them to achieve their sustainability ambitions so a key theme within the Council is ‘Sustainable Gateshead’. They have a long relationship with tadea and were keen to make use of our experience and expertise.
