Accessibility statement
TADEA aims to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience
This site aims to achieve overall compliance with the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) guidelines.
Web Accessibility Initiative
This website endeavours to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. The Accessibility Guidelines explain how to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance to these Guidelines helps to make the Web more accessible to users with disabilities and benefits all users.
Every effort is made to ensure the whole site conforms to the guidelines, but if you find content that may not yet reach the standards in all areas, or you have any problems accessing any information on the site, email the web team to let us know what the problem is and where it occurs, and we will endeavour to fix the problem or provide the information in an appropriate format.
W3C - Validation Service
This website is built using code compliant with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets.
W3C is the governing authority on web development standards and practices.
The site displays correctly with current browsers, and using standard XHTML code means that any future browsers will also display this website correctly. If you have a problem viewing any part of this website in your browser, email the web team with details of the browser and operating system you are using.
Increasing text size
You can adjust the text size in your browser settings.
- If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the View menu, select Text Size and then either Larger or Largest. If you are using Internet Explorer 7 you can also zoom the whole page by going to the Page option, selecting Zoom and choosing a percentage.
- If you use Netscape Navigator, go to the View menu and choose Increase Font until the text is the size you require.
- If you use Opera, go to the View menu, select Zoom and choose a percentage.
- Other browser information will be added as requested.
Changing colours
Changing the site's background colour can be particularly useful for users who rely on magnification technology as white can produce an uncomfortable glare. It is also possible to change the colour of body text on the site.
Both can be achieved by changing preferences in your browser:
- If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, select Internet Options, select Colours and make changes to text and background colours in the Colours panel.
- If you use Netscape Navigator, go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, open the Appearance menu and select Colours. You can set the colour of text and background from here.
- If you are using Opera you can switch between Author mode and User mode in the toolbar. Choose Manage Modes to edit your preferences.
Images
All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes and Titles. Those in purely decorative graphics or used for layout include null ALT attributes.
Visual Design
This site uses cascading style sheets (CSS) for visual layout.
If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
If you are experiencing any problems, please contact us with the details of the problem.
Latest Project
With the introduction of CERT TADEA are currently in discussions with Utility Companies to finalise a new insulation scheme available anywhere in the North East region and we will work with local authorities to maximise uptake in their areas where it presents a best value option.
