Current TADEA Projects
TADEA are involved in a number of projects. Some of our latest projects are listed below.
Insulation Schemes
With the introduction of CERT TADEA are currently in discussions with Utility Companies to finalise a new insulation scheme available anywhere in the North East region and we will work with local authorities to maximise uptake in their areas where it presents a best value option.
TADEA has also been successful on behalf of the North East Home Insulation Partnership in securing funds from DEFRA (CEEF funds) to develop a regional scheme to deliver our mission to 'insulate every home in the north east'. We will need to work closely with all our partners to put this ambitious project together and put the region right at top in terms of carbon saving and alleviating fuel poverty. Dan Ludgate is leading in putting the project together and can be contacted at dan.ludgate@est-ne.org.uk
NEHIP
Through the NEHIP (North East Home Insulation Partnership) we are currently working with partners, including the North East Housing Board to develop a coordinated regional campaign to insulate every home in the North East by 2016.

Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre
On behalf of the Energy Saving Trust we are delivering a free impartial and comprehensive advice to every household in the region.
Last year we gave specific advice relating to energy efficiency, renewable technologies or sustainable transport to over 80,000 households resulting in over 100,000 lifetime tonnes of carbon being saved.
This year we will advise a similar number of households and we intend that as a result even greater carbon savings will be achieved. This will require very effective marketing campaigns and efficient referral of customers to delivery agencies in order that they take action.

Utility Discounted Insulation Schemes
TADEA is currently working with insulation companies across the north east to make maximum use of npower EEC funds to priority customers. These schemes are available in any area and we will work with local authorities to maximise uptake in their areas where it presents a best value option.
In Hartlepool, on behalf of Hartlepool Borough Council and in partnership with British Gas, we are delivering the Hart Warmers Plus scheme to insulate vulnerable householders. Details of the scheme are available at www.hartlepool.gov.uk
Across the Tees Valley, again in partnership with British Gas, we have recently delivered a highly successful insulation scheme to vulnerable households insulating 2500 properties in around 3 months. The effectiveness of this scheme in demonstrating that the rate of insulation can be significantly increased through co-ordinated action is evident.

Data Logging
We are now in our third year of working with Mouchel Parkman Ewan on their contract to handle data logger collections on gas meters.
This is a demand estimation project monitoring different gas patterns to ensure energy costs to everyone are kept as low as possible by not producing more gas than needed. This also helps the environment and future generations. This scheme has been running successfully for the past 10 years.
