TADEA are now 100% ISO Accredited
Corporate Social Responsibility is simply business as usual for TADEA. All offices have now achieved 100% in our recent ISO audits.
Over recent months, Carlisle staff have been striving to pass their 1st external audit for ISO accreditation. We’re delighted to report that the office has now passed with flying colours and certification for both ISO9001 and ISO14001 is on its way.
ISO is the internationally recognised standard for high quality business processes. ISO 9001 represents a methodical approach to good management practices, with documentation supporting how an organisation manages those practices. As demonstrated in our quality policy, the focus is on customer satisfaction and productive engagement with stakeholders. To be of use as a policy, it requires continuous improvement, delivering operational excellence of quality advice and services.
ISO 14001 targets the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption. In particular, it is our policy to assure the environmental integrity of our activities and services at all times and in all places.
The benefits of implementing a Quality Management System are tenfold. It has increased the motivation of staff by defining their key roles and responsibilities. Cost savings have been made through improved efficiency and productivity.
Improvements have been developed, resulting in less waste and better working practices. Customers notice that their needs are met consistently, on time and to the correct specification. This opens up TADEA’s market place to increased opportunities.
Once all the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 were met, it was time for an external audit. This was undertaken by a third party, accredited certification body. It involves looking at the company’s evaluation of quality and environmental policy, and ascertains if targets set for the management programme are measurable and achievable. This was followed at a later date by a full on-site audit to ensure that working practices observe the procedures and stated objectives and that appropriate records are kept.
“TADEA successfully maintains and enhances its record of Quality management. Sustainability and protecting the environment is integral to all of our business activities,” comments Paul Jackson, TADEA Chief Executive Officer.
“TADEA continually improves its environmental performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting results to the TADEA Board. Our environmental policy is communicated to all staff, contractors, suppliers and employees – by providing the necessary training and support required.”
TADEA is now assessing other areas for accreditation in line with current trends as we aim to always exceed minimum tendering requirements or client expectations.
