About TADEA
TADEA Ltd is a Private Company, Limited by Guarantee, working on a not-for-profit basis. TADEA Ltd was established in 2002 by Stockton Borough Council and National Energy Action with the support of Local Authorities in the Durham and Tees Valley sub regions.
What Do We Do?
Our simple purpose is to provide carbon reduction advice services and project management to take forward the cause of sustainable energy across the North of England.
Our Key Aims are:
- Bring about a step change in demand and strategic profile of insulation
- Develop the market for renewable energy technologies
- Develop hard to treat insulation technologies
- We will remain a not-for-profit company dedicated to the principle of utilising retained resources to benefit our stakeholders and contribute to TADEA’s aims.
Our Governance
TADEA Ltd is governed by its Board of Directors who receives and approves project proposals, project performance reports and all statutory financial reports.
Annual accounts are audited and reported to Companies House. The Energy Saving Trust advice centre contract is managed independently of other TADEA Ltd contracts and the Board receives separate reports on progress and performance.
The TADEA Ltd Board Executive Chairman is Philip Hughes of Teesdale District Council, IGNITE and SUSTAINE.

Latest Project
With the introduction of CERT TADEA are currently in discussions with Utility Companies to finalise a new insulation scheme available anywhere in the North East region and we will work with local authorities to maximise uptake in their areas where it presents a best value option.
