tadea has helped Sage UK, the major business software company, to achieve yet another milestone with their environmental commitments this summer.
Over 350 employees attended their first ‘Sage Environmental Day’ at the Sage UK head office at Great North Park in Newcastle to meet with representatives from 17 organisations such as Northumbrian Water and The Cycle Centre. Organised and promoted by the employee engagement team at tadea, the event gave staff the opportunity to find out more about local initiatives and products available to help them live and work more sustainably under one roof.
One of the highlights included the opportunity to test drive an electric car. Sage UK already supports the use of electric cars through the installation of a car charger on their premises and by being part of the Switch EV electric vehicle trial in the North East.
David Moorhead, the Environment and Sustainability Co-ordinator at Sage UK, said: “Over the past year we have been working with tadea to raise environment and sustainability awareness within the company. With their help and support, we have reduced our carbon emissions.
Sage Environmental Day was a big success and exceeded all expectations. To put it simply, the event wouldn’t have been the success it was without tadea.”
The event resulted from discussions within the company’s Green Team - the group of employees that are helping Sage UK to put ideas, on promoting the environment and sustainability, into action. tadea has been working at the outset to help the company form the team, and are now advising on its future development.
