Recently tadea assessors have provided an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for Egglescliffe school, after carrying out an assessment of energy use and building fabric in the schools buildings. The school is looking to reduce their energy bills by installing Solar PV and at the same time getting an assessment of the building.

As part of Durham County Council’s Schools Carbon Reduction Programme, ‘community schools’ are able to apply for a zero per cent, interest free loan to fund energy efficiency and carbon reduction schemes. The loans are administered by the School Funding team with technical support from the Energy and Carbon team based at County Hall.

tadea are to provide Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for buildings in the York area on behalf of the Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust. The Trust provides specialist mental health and learning disability services to people within Leeds, York, Selby, Tadcaster, Easingwold and parts of North Yorkshire. The delivery of the DECs builds on tadea’s previous work in the health sector, coming on the back of services provided for NHS North of Tyne and Northumberland Tyne and Wear Foundation Trust.

tadea has secured the contract to renew Display Energy Certificates for Nottinghamshire Council’s schools and public buildings. The work – which will involve the assessment of around 265 properties – began in June and will run over a period of around 12 months. Display Energy Certificates (DECs) inform visitors about the energy use of public buildings by highlighting their energy rating. The rating range runs from A to G (where A is the most efficient) and must be renewed every year.
